About 6000 years ago a perfect God created a universe to invest his glory in. He didn't need us, he wanted us. He made us to glorify himself because he is perfect and almighty. He made us his in his image. We are his greatest creation. He loves us perfectly. But we fell short. Here's where the conflict came into play. God is perfectly loving and perfectly just. We severely disobeyed him and deserved severe punishment. The wages of sin is death. So God came up with a perfect plan. He would send his Word to Earth. This Word is his Son, Jesus Christ and part of God. He would humble himself to nothing and live a life of homelessness, rejection, and perfection. He would ultimately be crucified and fulfill all prophecy. In his death our debt was paid. God no longer saw our sin, but the perfect blood of Christ that covered us. Three days later he rose from the grave to prove his almighty power. He sent disciples to all ends of the earth to share this gospel (good news) and teach people to believe, repent of sin, and be baptized for salvation and the gift of the Holy Spirit. These converts are Christians. They give up their desires to do what God desires.Though Christians experience hardship and suffering, they are filled with joy because they are blessed by the God who loves them dearly. When they leave this Earth they will walk streets of gold in heaven where they will be filled with joy and eternally worship the God they love. This is God's story and this is my story.
"Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory..."
